Find the job.Know the number.
Bid Watch checks SAM.gov every morning for new government construction work in every trade, from concrete and roofing to landscaping, tree work and HVAC, and shows you what similar contracts actually went for.
Government work pays. Finding it doesn't.
Public jobs are steady, paid on time and open to small contractors. The hard part is everything before the bid.
It's buried
Bids are scattered across government sites, written in contracting language, and mixed in with software and office supplies.
You see it too late
By the time someone forwards you a job, the site visit has passed and you have days, not weeks, to price it.
You're guessing the price
Bid too high and you lose. Bid too low and you lose money. Most contractors have no idea what the last job went for.

Need a takeoff?
Our estimating team will run quantities on any bid you're chasing. Request one from the bid card. We confirm scope and price before starting, with results usually in 3 business days.
Questions, answered.
Where do these construction bids come from?
Federal bids come from SAM.gov, the U.S. government's official contracting site, for all 50 states. State and local bid boards are being added. Every listing links to the official posting.
What trades are included?
Every construction and building-services trade: building construction and renovation, concrete and paving, roofing and masonry, landscaping and tree work, cleaning and pressure washing, painting, HVAC, plumbing and electrical, demolition and sitework, fencing, snow removal, interiors, and highway, bridge and utility work.
Can any contractor sign up?
Yes. Bid Watch is for any trade and any size of company. Choose your trades and states when you sign up and you'll only get bids that fit.
How is the typical winning price calculated?
We look up federal contracts awarded over the last 3 years for the same type of work (NAICS code) in the same state, using USAspending.gov, the government's official spending data. We show the middle (median) award and the range most awards fell in. It's a guide for similar work, not a quote for this exact job.
What is the AI scope & quantities summary?
For the best-matching bids, AI reads the notice and its attached documents and lists the scope of work, every quantity the documents state (with where it was found), the site visit, question deadline and key requirements like bonding and wage rates. It only reports what's written. It doesn't measure drawings, so treat it as a head start, not a takeoff, and always check the official documents.
What does the match score in my alerts mean?
Every bid in your email gets a 0–100 score for how well it fits you: whether it's in one of your trades, in one of your states, has a set-aside most small contractors qualify for, and leaves enough time to bid. Best matches come first.
How much does Bid Watch cost?
Starter is $29 a month for one state. Pro is $59 a month for all 50 states plus AI scope summaries. Team is $99 a month for up to 5 people. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime.
How do takeoffs work?
Click "Request takeoff" on any bid. Our estimating team reviews the documents, confirms the scope and price with you, and delivers quantities, usually within 3 business days. Quick takeoffs start at $149, standard at $349, and larger multi-trade jobs are quoted.
How do I stop the emails?
Reply STOP to any alert email and you'll be removed. Free weekly emails have an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
